Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams combine for ridiculous hook and ladder touchdown on MNF
Detroit Lions wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams combined for a hook-and-ladder touchdown play against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night football. In the second quarter, quarterback Jared Goff completed a pass to St. Brown, who then lateraled to Williams for the score.
St. Brown and Williams are two reasons the Lions have won 13 games this season. Heading into the 49ers game, St. Brown recorded 101 receptions for 1,126 yards and 11 touchdowns for the season. Williams has caught 47 passes for 890 yards and six touchdowns on the year.
Last week, Lions head coach Dan Campbell praised St. Brown and Williams’ performances in a 34-17 win over the Chicago Bears. “Offensively, our game balls were (Amon-Ra) St. Brown and Jamo (Jameson Williams), both of those guys had huge games and really it was probably Jamo’s best game that he’s had since he’s been here and I’m talking about from run blocking as well as the pass game which everybody sees, so that was great,” Campbell said, per the Lions’ official website.
Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams make a strong duo
Williams is inching closer to reaching 1,000 yards for the season. If that happens, it would be the first time since 2017 that the Lions had two wide receivers reach 1,000 yards in the same year.

“I missed two games,” Williams said last week. “I think I had a game or two with one catch. I had a game with negative-four yards. But that stuff really don’t matter. You just have to go out there the next game and try to make that up.
“Those two games set me back a little bit but the team still got the W both those weeks without me and that’s really the main thing. I know people have individual goals but like this far into the season I feel like people need to put those to the side. It’s time to go win and it’s real now. The yardage is something I really haven’t been worried about … but I’m still in that range and hopefully I can get it, though.”
The Lions will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night. The winner will clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC and have a first-round bye in the playoffs. Detroit is looking to make a run at the Super Bowl after losing to the 49ers in the NFC Championship game last season.
