Andy Reid hilariously claims he 'set up' Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

Amid rumors that Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are dating, Swift showed up at the Chiefs game on Sunday, watching alongside Donna Kelce. After the game, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were seen leaving the game together, seemingly confirming the rumors.

With that, everyone seems to have something to say. That includes Kansas City head coach Andy Reid. However, Reid seems to think he had something to do with the match, claiming that he set the two of them up.

“You know what? I’ve met her before,” Andy Reid said. “I set them up.”

After drawing a laugh from the room of reporters, Reid quickly walked away before anyone could ask him a follow up question about the relationship.

Admittedly, Andy Reid probably isn’t the reason that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seem to be together. It’s just a lot of fun to think that it’s the case. And, it does seem like the two are a pair. At one point in the win over the Bears, Kelce found the end zone and Swift was seen going crazy to celebrate the score.

After the game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes joked that he knew he had to get Travis Kelce the ball.

“I felt a little bit of pressure,” Mahomes said. “And so I knew I had to get it to Travis. And of course, on a route that Travis, he does his own thing and makes up a route and I throw it to ’em. So, I think he wanted to get in the end zone as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”

It was after the game when Mahomes also revealed the hilarious way that Kelce told him that Swift was going to be at the game on Sunday.

“He told me at like the last minute,” Mahomes said. “There are some things with Trav, he’ll say it and you don’t know if it’s true or not. Like he’ll say it so calmly… On Friday, he was like, ‘Yeah, I think she’s coming to the game this weekend,’ and then he just moved about his business. And then it just happens. That’s just Travis, I guess.”

Another head coach who had thoughts to share on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift was Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots. He went on the Greg Hill Show where he shared his thoughts on the situation.

“Well, I would say that Travis Kelce… Kelce’s had a lot of big catches in his career,” Belichick said. “This would be the biggest.”
