WNBA star Angel Reese collaborated with Cash App to unveil ‘Angel’s Court’ near Chicago’s Oakwood Beach on Wednesday. The two came together last year to form a partnership, and these new courts are the latest result of their alignment.

The dualing courts are themed after Reese’s team, the Chicago Sky. Both courts feature two full basketball courts with eight total rims for local residents to play the game on. In the middle, the name of the beach that it overlooks, Oakwood Beach.

“I’m so proud to partner with Cash App to give back to the city I’ve fallen in love with, in such a meaningful way,” Reese said, via release. “This court is more than just a place to hoop, it’s a space where girls can see what’s possible for them on and off the court. I’m excited to work with Cash App to create more opportunities for the next generation of basketball players and leaders.”

The two parties, with held from Project Backboard, which is a nonprofit organization that builds basketball courts in an attempt to promote community strength, along with the Angel C. Reese Foundation. This project specifically has been implemented in an attempt to grow access and opportunities to young girls looking to break into the sport.

This isn’t the first time that Cash App has looked to help grow the game of women’s basketball. They also have a partnership with the Atlanta Dream, who wear their logo on their jersey each game, to being the main sponsor of the Visa Cash App RB (VCARB) F1 Academy Team, which is a feeder series for women drivers.

“At Cash App, we’re committed to driving real-world economic impact and building a future of community-driven financial empowerment–especially through sports,” Catherine Ferdon, CMO at Cash App, said in the same release. “Angel Reese embodies that mission. She’s unapologetically bold, transcending basketball to redefine what it means to be a cultural icon. We’re proud to partner with her in Chicago to uplift her fans and expand access for the next generation of girls to lead on and off the court.”

Angel’s Court are open and ready to be played on for those in the Chicago area. The opening of Reese’s new courts come amid the Chicago Sky’s regular season, where Reese has picked up right where she left off during her All-Star rookie season in the WNBA. She recently logged the first triple double of her career in a matchup against the Connecticut Sun.
