The pregame walk into the locker room has become a runway moment for athletes, and the WNBA stars have stepped up with some strong looks for the league’s all star game on Saturday evening. Among them includes one of the rookie stars of the league, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Rocking up ahead of the showcase, Reese sported gold heels with a matching two-piece skirt and sleeved top, with the off-white, tan and brown color scheme accentuated by a Louis Vuitton handbag. Reese wasn’t shy about how she felt about the look entering the arena.

“Like a baddie, like a Barbie,” Reese said of how she felt in the outfit.

Reese wasn’t alone in bringing the heat with the pregame outfit, either.

Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston both put a great foot forward with their outfits ahead of the WNBA All-Star night in Phoenix on Saturday. But their Indiana Fever teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, will likely still get a bit more attention for her body suit featuring patterns of all the WNBA’s team’s jerseys.

It probably isn’t something Mitchell will wear for some quick errands, but for the WNBA’s annual weekend to celebrate itself? It’s just about perfect. But Clark and Boston didn’t exactly mail it in with their looks, either.

Boston wore a matching red sequined top and flowing pants, a look evocative of the ruby slippers from “The Wizard of Oz.” And Clark, she sported a business-like white sweater with red accents with a burgundy leather skirt, plus shoes and a handbag in a similar dark red color. The look was completed with a pair of Buffs-esque sunglasses.

The WNBA All-Star night, hosted in Phoenix, features a matchup between the leagues All-Stars and Team USA, tipping off at 8:30 p.m. EST.

Reese stood up for a teammate she perceived to get an All-Star snub

Angel Reese believes Chennedy Carter should be with her this weekend in Phoenix at the WNBA All-Star Game. Carter tweeted her support for her teammate ahead of the game on Saturday, prompting Reese to respond with a quote tweet.

The Chicago Sky rookie said Carter was deserving of an All-Star nod herself for the performance she has had over the first half of this season.

“You should be here but i’m playing for you today CHENNDOLL!” Reese wrote.

Carter is in her first season with the Sky after spending the 2023 season playing overseas. The former No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 draft, she came off the bench for the first 12 games before entering the starting lineup.

Since then the former Texas A&M guard has been one of the most electrifying players on the roster with 21.4 points, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals across her 12 starts. She is also shooting 51.7% from the field and has shown an elite ability and quickness in getting to the rim.

Carter previously played two seasons with the Atlanta Dream and was named the runner up for Rookie of the Year in 2020. However, the team traded her to the Los Angeles Sparks the following season. The Sparks waived her after only one year.
