Young’s Motorsports is heading into another year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. This time around, Anthony Alfredo is the wheelman. Alfredo is a solid choice for this car and should help Young’s grow and improve their organization.

Last season, Young’s Motorsports made their debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Leland Honeyman. It was a year of learning. Honeyman is a solid young driver and even earned a top-5 for the team at Talladega and a top-10 at Daytona in 2024.

Anthony Alfredo is a great choice here. In the last three years he has helped improve Our Motorsports and BJ McLeod Motorsports in the Xfinity Series. Now he’s headed to Young’s to do the same thing for them.

Fast Pasta will drive the No. 42 Chevrolet this season.

Anthony Alfredo should have a full-time ride this season. He is talented, has sponsorship, and he’s still young at only 25. Not to mention, Alfredo gets the nod for select Cup Series starts. He is trusted in the industry for what he does behind the wheel.

I would love to see Alfredo in a Kaulig Racing car or back with Richard Childress in the Xfinity Series. However, his work for underfunded teams the last few years speaks for itself. He took Our Motorsports to 15th in the points standings in 2022 and 2024.

The No. 42 car was 27th overall in points last year. Honeyman was only 19 years old. The young driver has moved to the newly founded Cope Family Racing team to split the No. 70 car with Thomas Annunziata. Young’s is hoping Alfredo will improve upon Honeyman’s 2024 season.

A team entering their sophomore season in the Xfinity Series is not going to win races right away. It takes time to build data and a team and to get things moving in the right direction. I think this is a fantastic signing for Young’s Motorsports.

Last year, we saw Alfredo earn seven top-10 finishes and two top-5s. He was able to qualify very well late in the year. At Michigan, he put together his best overall race and second-best finish of the year with a P4.

Young’s knows that Alfredo will take their car and get the most out of it. He will be able to make a top-20 car a top-15 or top-10 car at times. When a team is able to hook him up with a fast ride, like Michigan, Alfredo is able to take it to another level.

Anthony Alfredo is going full-time racing yet again. Dude Wipes is back on the car, he has a number of other great sponsors for the effort. What are your expectations for Alfredo in 2025?
