Anthony Edwards throws down spectacular one-handed dunk vs. San Antonio Spurs
Anthony Edwards is one of the most electrifying dunkers the game of basketball has seen in quite some time. The former Georgia star routinely throws down some of the most amazing dunks you’ll ever see.
And on Saturday night, he rocked the rim with yet another spectacular one-handed jam. The ball bounced off the rim and Edwards flew it to send it in with one hand.
Anthony Edwards is simply a spectacular player all-around. There are few players on the planet quite like him. And he showed that again on Saturday night. Plays like that are why fans pay good money to show up to the stadium to watch him perform. This season, he’s been averaging 25.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
Edwards has been selected to the 2024 Olympics USA Basketball player pool. It’s not a surprise after his impressive showing at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and his impressive start to the 2023-2024 campaign. It’ll be interesting to see if he makes the final cut for the 2024 Team USA Roster. The 2024 Olympics will take place in France this summer.
Edwards has steadily improved his game over the years and turned himself into one of the league’s most complete players. In 2021, he landed on the NBA All-Rookie first team after he averaged 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Then in 2023 he was named to his first NBA All-Star game. After his impressive showing at the FIBA World Cup in the summer of 2023, Edwards landed on the All-FIBA World Cup Team.

Last season, he helped propel the Minnesota Timberwolves to the first round of the NBA Playoffs, where they were eventually eliminated by the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets would go on to win the 2023 NBA Championship. The Timberwolves were eliminated in Game 5 by the Denver Nuggets, despite a spectacular performance from Edwards. He managed to stuff the stat sheet with 29 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks.
The former Georgia Bulldog was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he’s only proven the franchise right with his electrifying playmaking ability. Edwards was named SEC Rookie of the Year in 2020 when he played for Georgia.
Coming out of high school, he was one of the most decorated basketball prospects in the country and Edwards was named a McDonald’s All-American.
