It’s no secret that former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is one of the best all-around athletes in the 2023 NFL Draft. He showed why during the broad and vertical jumps at the NFL Combine on Saturday.

Richardson raised plenty of eyebrows when he jumped 40.5″ in the vertical jump, which set a new record for quarterbacks. That came after he turned in a 10’9″ broad jump.

It was quite the day for one of the most intriguing prospects on the board.

Richardson is seen as one of the top quarterbacks on the board after an up-and-down 2022 season with Florida. Still, his performance at the combine adds to the excitement about his potential in the league. This past year, he proved he can be an effective dual-threat with 2,549 passing yards, 654 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns.

It’s safe to say his performance Saturday will be talked about for some time.

The 2023 NFL Draft is coming up April 27-29 in Kansas City.

During an NFL Network media conference, NFL Draft expert Daniel Jeremiah tried to rank Richardson among his peers.

“Well, I guess I can answer it this way: He is not going to be there when it’s all said and done when the Lions pick with their second pick, so it’s not going to be a problem,” Jeremiah said aboutwhy he had Richardson going to Detroit.

“And making calls just around the league, the best way to do the quarterback conversation is talk to the teams that don’t need one, and then you’ll get kind of an accurate feel just how they evaluate him and what they think. Anthony Richardson is the second quarterback for several teams that I talked to.”
