Antonio Brown expresses interest in buying NFL team via social media
Could Antonio Brown level up from disgraced free agent to NFL owner? Earlier this week, Brown stated his interest in buying the Denver Broncos on social media.
“Donda Sports want to buy the @Broncos who with me!” tweeted Brown, regarding his interest.
Additionally, Brown added “NFL CALL YE,” referencing artist Kanye West as one of his partners.
To illustrate, Brown was revealed to have taken over a role at West’s Donda Sports — an organization founded by the musical artist. The former Buccaneers wide receiver announced the news on Instagram, a post including Brown revealing he’s purchased a luxury suite at SoFi Stadium for Super Bowl 56.
Moreover, Donda Sports will “encompass athlete representation” and be “a full-service sports brand including apparel, sneakers and much more.” While Brown isn’t able to find work on the field, it looks like he’s not having trouble off of it.
Who knows what the future of Donda Sports looks like. Still, it would be a Hollywood-style twist is Antonio Brown ends up owning an NFL franchise. Crazier things have happened. Like a star wide receiver literally leaving it all on the field and leaving mid-game.
Brown: Handful of NFL teams have reached out since sideline meltdown
After the saga that resulted in Antonio Brown being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was widely believed the star wide receiver’s career was over. After burning his bridge with Tampa Bay and quarterback Tom Brady, it seemed unfeasible that Brown would catch on with another team.
However, Brown shocked when he revealed that teams have reached out since his sideline meltdown at MetLife Stadium. In an interview with Complex, Brown touched on a number of topics — music, football and a possible return to the field.

“Brown makes it very clear that his main priority is still football, though. And music is just something he does on the side,” wrote Complex’s Eric Skleton on the wide receiver. “He says he’s grateful for music as a creative outlet. But once his ankle is healed, he wants to return to the NFL. And according to Brown, a ‘couple teams called’ already.”
Since leaving the field, Brown has released multiple songs. In addition to becoming a key member of Donda Sports, he’s been spotted with a bevy of celebrities. One particular video of Brown with the aforementioned West, pop star Madonna and boxer Floyd Mayweather made its rounds on social media.
Even though the world has wondered about Brown’s headspace following the incident, the wide receiver assured he’s in a good place.
“I feel really good” he told Complex. “I’ve got a new job, it’s called living. That’s our only job in the world, is just to live. It’s not about the things that we take as so serious. Life is a blessing itself.”
Whether Antonio Brown garners interest from NFL teams remains to be seen. At the moment, it looks like the star wide receiver turned musician is enjoying his time away from the field.
