Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. could be checking out his future digs on Friday as the Arizona Cardinals host him for a top-30 prospect visit, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The Cardinals, who own the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, are eyeing Harrison as a potential first-rounder to give quarterback Kyler Murray another weapon.

The Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots, the teams with the first three picks in the draft later this month, are all expected to take quarterbacks. The Patriots are hosting two of those quarterbacks, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels, in the next three days. Analysts widely believe that Chicago, with the first overall selection, will take USC star Caleb Williams.

If the Cardinals take Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4, he’ll be the first wide receiver and first quarterback to come off the board. Despite skipping Pro Day and Combine drills, he’s highly coveted for what he did for the Buckeyes.

In three years at Ohio State, Harrison had 155 catches, 2,613 yards, 31 touchdowns and 16.9 yards per catch. He eclipsed 1,200 yards in each of his last two seasons after playing sparingly as a freshman.

Harrison could go with fourth, fifth or sixth selection

If the Cardinals don’t snag Harrison at No. 4 overall, either because they draft another position of need or trade down out of the fourth spot, the former Buckeye could go to the L.A. Chargers at No. 5. In Mel Kiper’s latest post-combine mock draft, he has the Chargers selecting the next-best receiver, LSU’s Malik Nabers. The New York Giants, selecting sixth, also have a need for an influx of talent at wide receiver. They select Washington’s Rome Odunze in Kiper’s mock draft.

Kiper Jr. assessed the WR1 topic on ‘First Draft’ with Field Yates last week. He noted that talk has shifted to the Harrison vs. Nabers debate, though Odunze is close behind.

“You know, I think the debate rages on,” Kiper said. “I think in terms of even Odunze and Nabers because that is forgotten here. We act like it’s Nabers or Harrison. Odunze and Nabers was kind of a 50-50 split. Now, things change as you get closer to the draft, all the information is in. We get all of that but these three are all very highly regarded.”

“I think, you go back? We’ve had drafts like this – Michael Irvin draft, Timmy Brown draft, Sterling Sharpe, Jerry Rice. You think of all the receivers who were in those drafts, three of them in each one of those drafts. You could put them in a hat, pick one, and you’re not going to go wrong. Like, that’s the case with these three, really,” Kiper continued. “It depends what you’re looking for. In Malik Nabers’ case? He is explosive, he did have a great year. There’s no question. He did put it all together this season. Odunze? He is silky smooth, he is reliable, he is consistent. He is the catch-radius guy, the contested-catch guy. Throw it up? He’ll go get it. Then, Marvin Harrison Jr., what’s not to like?”
