Coming into the last week or so, Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt looked very much like a big matchup for the bubble of the NCAA Tournament. However, heading into tip-off tonight, it still is only for one of them tonight in Nashville.

Vanderbilt (20-9, 8-8) is the team between these two that has taken themselves off of the bubble. Following a stretch at 1-5, the Commodores have won three straight with all of them coming against ranked opponents. That has Vandy back on track in the SEC and back in the field per the latest projections of the bracket for March Madness.

Arkansas (17-12, 6-10), though, is right back on the line coming into this week. They won two straight games to get themselves to 5-3 in February with all three losses being respectable, close losses to top-ranked teams. However, their resumé took a hit with a blowout taken this weekend at South Carolina. Now, the Razorbacks, who are down their best player in Adou Thiero who has not played the past two games and won’t again tonight, are in some must-win scenarios this week as far as their postseason goes.
