Arkansas vs. Texas A&M odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch

Arkansas and Texas A&M have both had a taste of conference action already, but they’ll get another mouthful when they take on each other this weekend.
The Razorbacks have had an encouraging start to the 2024 campaign, enlivened by new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and transfer quarterback Taylen Green. The Aggies are still trying to get their feet under them with new coach Mike Elko now in charge.
According to lines listed by FanDuel, Texas A&M will open as a 5.5-point favorite over Arkansas. The over/under points total for the contest has been set at 51.5 points.
That sets the expectation for the game: It’s one that could go either way, and the lack of a home-field advantage for either team makes it an interesting one.

Arkansas has been very competitive this year, in a must-win year for coach Sam Pittman. A two-overtime loss to Oklahoma State stung, but the Razorbacks rebounded nicely.

Quarterback Taylen Green has been a big part of that improved stability for Arkansas. Coupled with the tweaks new coordinator Bobby Petrino has made, the Arkansas offense has been much more effective in 2024.
Green’s legs are a big part of that, too. Texas A&M will have to key on that.
On the other side of the matchup, the Texas A&M defense hasn’t quite lived up to preseason expectations. The run defense and the pass rush haven’t been as impactful as hoped, though the Aggies continue to try to change that.
The other interesting facet for Texas A&M is the quarterback decision. Following an injury for Conner Weigman, Marcel Reed took over and had a very solid performance in a win over Florida.
He has played well and offers a dual-threat option. If Weigman is healthy, though, Texas A&M might have some decisions to make. So that’ll be an interesting storyline to follow ahead of this one.
