Report: Arrest warrant issued for Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon
On Thursday evening, there was officially a warrant issued for the arrest of Cincinnati Bengals’ star running back Joe Mixon. According to Chris Renkel of WKRC-TV in Cincinnati, the warrant alleges that Mixon pointed a gun at a woman in downtown Cincinnati. The incident happened a day before the 2023 AFC Divisional matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Cassy Arsenault posted a picture of the official warrant and it does not look good at all. Mixon allegedly pointed the gun at the woman and said, “you should be popped in the face. I should shoot you now. The police can’ get me,” according to the official warrant.
Check out the picture of it below.
The Bengals’ franchise issued a statement on Thursday evening on the warrant being issued for their star tailback’s arrest. It reads, “The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon. The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time.”

It’s never good news to hear, especially since Mixon overcame his legal troubles at the end of his career with the Oklahoma Sooners to become one of the better running backs in the National Football League. Mixon delivered a big-time performance against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round of the 2023 NFL Playoffs, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. During the 2022-2023 season, he ran for 814 yards and seven touchdowns on 210 attempts. His best season yet in the league came in 2021, when he racked up over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns.
Throughout his six-year career in the National Football League, Mixon has established himself as one of the elite all-purpose backs in the game, rushing for 5,378 yards and 40 touchdowns on 1,314 attempts. As a receiver, he’s hauled in 231 catches for 1,763 yards, while reeling in 10 touchdowns. If the Bengals choose to release the superstar tailback, they can save up to $10 million against the 2023 salary cap.
