Arrest warrants issued for Chiefs WR Rashee Rice in wake of Dallas crash
An arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice for his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 in Dallas last month, according to WFAA. Rice faces eight charges in the case, including counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault.
The accident occurred on Mar. 30, and State Sen. Royce West, who is representing Rice as his attorney, confrimed that his client acknowleged to investigators that he was driving the Lamborghini SUV that was invovled in the crash. A Corvette inovlved in the accident is leased in Rice’s name, and the driver of the vehicle, Theodore Knox, is facing similar charges.
The police report states that six people were split between the Lamborghini and Corvette that were speeding on 75 northbound. Both vehicles lost control and caused a crash that invovled six cars. All the occupants of the Lamboghini and Corvette fled the scene.
Two victims of the crash were hospitalized. Tennessee Walker, a lawyer representing a husband and wife who were the victims of the crash, spoke to WFAA and said the couple is “angry.” Walker added that the husband had to crawl out the back window in the wake of the crash. His wife was pulled out of the vehicle by first repsonders.

“She had a very big laceration on her left eye. She’s got several stitches that were put in at the hospital, and the eye socket is completely swollen and black and blue,” Walker said.
Rashee Rice takes ‘responsibility’ for his involvement in accident
Last week, Rice relased a statement about the crash. “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident,” Rice posted. “I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”
Rice, 23, finished his rookie season with the Chiefs after playing college football at SMU. In his first year at Kansas City, Rice caught 79 passes for 938 yards and seven touchdonws. And in four playoff games, Rice tallied 26 recptions for 262 yard and one touchdown to help the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Rice now holds the record for most postseason receptions by a rookie, passing Ja’Mar Chase who caught 25 passes with the Cinciannati Bengals in 2021.
