Audric Estime offers NFL advice he got from his cousin Terrence Fede
The Denver Broncos selected running back Audric Estime out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. with that, his journey as a professional athlete began.
It can be difficult to be a rookie in the NFL. Luckily, Audric Estime has been able to lean on his older cousin Terrence Fede, who is ready to offer advice to the young player.
“Yeah, he gave me a lot of tips and things to do that a lot of people don’t know,” Audric Estime said. “Like how important it is to take care of your body. It’s a long season and a lot of young guys like me don’t realize how long it is until you get here. You’ve got to take it one day at a time and lock in and capture every opportunity.”
Terrence Fede was in the NFL from 2014 through 2019, with his last two seasons being on practice squads. Prior to that, he contributed at defensive end for the Miami Dolphins.
Fede and Estime are not just cousins, with Terrence also being Audric’s godfather. On top of that, he’s been a mentor to him throughout his journey in football.
“He told me that, and I’ve been trying to do my best job doing that,” Estime concluded.
While at Notre Dame, Audric Estime was a star running back known for his blend of power and speed. Over the course of his Notre Dame career, Estime carried the ball 373 times for 2,321 yards. That’s an average of 6.2 yards per carry. He also had 29 rushing touchdowns. On top of all of that, Estime had 26 receptions for another 277 yards and a score through the air.

What NFL Draft analysts said about Audric Estime
Ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein broke down the top prospects available, including Audric Estime.
“Thickly muscled runner capable of wearing out defenses through a heavier workload. There were times Estimé played too slowly when forced to process moving pieces up front, but he showed a greater willingness to cut it loose as the season progressed. He’s naturally powerful with adequate foot agility. Estimé doesn’t have the bend to be a one-cut runner but can make reactive cuts to sudden tacklers near the line of scrimmage. If he can hit the gas with a heavier foot, he’ll continue to break tackles and maximize yardage after contact,” Zierlein wrote.
“He’s a better weapon out of the backfield than he might get credit for being, and he could check into the league as part of a two-headed running attack with the ability to shine near the goal line.”
