For the fourth time this season Austin Hill is a winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and he just punched his ticket to Phoenix. Hill is going to race in the Championship 4 in two weeks for a shot at the big trophy.

The biggest win of his career. Austin Hill put Richard Childress Racing back into the Championship 4 and is giving them another shot at being on top of the mountain.

A win at Daytona, a sweep of Atlanta, and now a huge victory at Homestead-Miami. That’s what it takes to get to Phoenix.

RCR showed up today at Homestead-Miami. Jesse Love followed not far behind his victorious teammate, crossing the line P4.

This race was a lot of fun to watch. Early on we had three-wide battles for the lead with drivers like Cole Custer, Aric Almirola, and more. Just as competitive as it could be for multiple stages tonight.

However, in the end, Austin Hill and his team’s strategy was too good. He won it without any pressure from behind. Once he beat Cole Custer for the lead, it was over after that. The only thing that could have derailed him would have been a caution and that never came.

Austin Hill clinches first-ever Championship 4 berth

This is the first time in his career that Austin Hill has locked into the Championship 4. That is major for him as a driver. Getting this win at a non-drafting track was also major. Hill is great on tracks like Daytona, Talladega, and Atlanta.

However, over the years, Hill has struggled to close the deal on other tracks. Still, his strengths are on these high-speed tracks. He also has wins at Las Vegas and Pocono in his career.

Given his history at Martinsville, winning at Homestead is major. Austin Hill does not have to worry whatsoever about next week. So, if things go south or he doesn’t have the day that he would like to have, he is still going to race for a championship in Phoenix.

Hill and Richard Childress Racing have put together a solid season. They have been looking for the consistency and performance they had in those first six weeks of the season. However, in the last three races, finishes of P4, P10, and P1 show they may have found the secret sauce once again.
