Baltimore Ravens OL Ben Cleveland arrested for DUI in Georgia

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was arrested last week for driving under the influence, according to TMZ Sports.
The former Georgia Bulldogs lineman allegedly drove his truck with a BAC over twice the legal limit, per TMZ Sports. The incident happened in Milledgeville, Georgia on Feb. 12, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office documents obtained by TMZ Sports noted.
Cleveland was apparently pulled over at around 10:25 PM after swerving on a roadway. TMZ Sports reported that cops noted the Ravens offensive lineman was driving so erratically, he came close to steering his truck into a ditch.
After being pulled over, “Authorities said Cleveland admitted to drinking ‘approximately 3-4 beers’ at a nearby country club before getting behind the wheel,” TMZ Sports added. “They also wrote in the report his eyes were ‘glossy’ and an odor of booze emanated from his ride.
“The [documents] state Cleveland failed at least one field sobriety test. They also note he blew a .178 — more than double the legal limit of .08 — when a Breathalyzer was administered.”
After being moved to a local jailing facility, an additional breath sample taken at the facility returned a BAC level of .161, per TMZ Sports. In the end, the former Bulldogs star was hit with two separate citations — one for DUI, and the other for failure to maintain lane.

TMZ Sports reached out to the Baltimore Ravens for comment on the matter, but they haven’t heard back. All in all, Cleveland has played in 54 games for the franchise since being selected in the 3rd round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
This past season, Cleveland played 54 snaps, per Pro Football Focus, ranking 116 out of 135 qualified guards in the NFL. His overall grade was 61.7, while his pass-blocking grade was 45.6, and his run-blocking grade was 63.1.
Prior to the season, Cleveland was projected to be Baltimore’s starting right guard in 2024. He was battling Daniel Faalele for the position, but an injury over the summer put a dent in those plans. Once the Ravens got their offense humming, there wasn’t exactly a reason to switch things up regarding their offensive line.
The team had dreams of making their first Super Bowl in over a decade, as the game returned to New Orleans, but Lamar Jackson and company couldn’t get by the Buffalo Bills. It’s a pivotal offseason for Baltimore, as they look to make their mark on the NFL, but it remains to be seen where Ben Cleveland fits in after his arrest earlier this month.
