Odell Beckham Jr. had a nice start to the Ravens’ Week 2 game vs. Cincinnati, but he has now been declared out with an ankle injury.

Bengals beat reporter Jay Morrison had the news live from Paycor Stadium and tweeted that Beckham’s day was done in the middle of the third quarter. Here was that tweet:

“Odell Beckham Jr. has an ankle injury. He’s been declared out.”

Before going out, Beckham had already made three grabs for 29 total yards against Cincy, who was the opponent his Rams faced in the 2021-22 Super Bowl. Of course, in that game, Beckham made a few early catches as well but then suffered a torn ACL that caused him to miss most of the next season.

Hopefully, whatever injury forced him to leave today isn’t nearly as crushing.

Beckham sports Travis Hunter shirt before Ravens game

The legend of Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter has grown so large, even Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has the young player on his radar. OBJ sported a Travis Hunter shirt during warmups for the Ravens’ Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Along with the Hunter-themed shirt, the former Giants superstar finished the look off with Randy Moss cleats.

The Ravens could certainly use OBJ channeling Moss and Hunter as they face the Bengals who are fresh off of a stinging loss to the Browns in Week 1. In Baltimore’s win last week, Beckham had two catches for 37 yards.

Travis Hunter was one of the biggest signings for Deion Sanders when he was skipper at Jackson State. Originally committed to Florida State, the WR/CB flipped his commitment to Coach Prime after coming in as the No. 2 overall recruit in the nation from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Hunter was a Five Star Plus+ recruit, meaning he was one of the only players ranked by all four major recruiting media companies as a five-star prospect.

Last year as a freshman at JSU, Hunter totaled 19 tackles and two interceptions on defense while adding 18 receptions for 190 yards and four touchdowns on offense. Entering the portal to follow Sanders to Colorado, he became the No. 1-ranked transfer during the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings.
