The Ravens have waived nose tackle Bravvion Roy, a one-time Baylor star, from their active roster.

Roy spent last season in Baltimore. But the Ravens signed him to the practice squad and he never saw the field. This week, he became a casualty of the team’s expanded, 90-man roster. Teams across the NFL started phase three of OTAs this week, with mini camps coming in June.

Roy started his career with the Carolina Panthers, which selected him in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Matt Rhule was the new Panthers head coach and months removed from leaving his job with Baylor. Roy then became one of his newest players.

And his best career play, to date, was his interception of future teammate Lamar Jackson, when Carolina met the Ravens in November 2022. The big dudes in the middle can have good hands.

By the following summer, before training camps cranked up, Carolina released the nose tackle. The Bears brought him in for training camp and he lasted through August, but was waived on one of the final training camp cuts.
