Bears WR DJ Moore on big-picture impact of beating Green Bay in Week 18: ’We beat the Packers, f**k ‘em’
Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore seems to be very happy that his team defeated the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. After the game, Mark Grote of 670 The Score asked Moore if the win over the Packers does anything for the Bears in the big picture, and Moore had a strong response.
“We beat the Packers. F**k ‘em,” Moore replied.
The Bears finished the 2024 season with a disappointing 5-12 record, but the win against the Packers is huge for the franchise. The last time the Bears defeated their NFC North rivals was on Dec. 16, 2018, and the 2018 season was the last time the Bears won the division. After the win, Chicago lost the next 11 games against Green Bay.
Moore was a big reason the Bears won on Sunday, catching nine passes for 86 yards and one touchdown. For the 2024 season, Moore caught 98 passes for 969 yards and six scores.
DJ Moore enjoyed playing with Caleb Williams
Based on the stats, Moore seemed to be very comfortable playing with rookie QB Caleb Williams. In October, the former Maryland star talked about Williams’ growth.

“It’s amazing,” Moore said, per the Bears’ official website. “He’s taken those strides that he needs to. He’s been bossy lately, telling us that we need to be on the details. We really do [need to focus on the details] for him to be the best player he needs to be.
“He’s been a leader. So what I mean by bossy is, if we don’t hit something in practice, he’s going to tell us how we need to run it. And we just look at him and be like, ‘OK.’ When we get out there in the game, just making sure you work because he’s gonna have some words for you if you don’t. That’s him being a leader.”
Williams spoke about his relationship with Moore. “I think the biggest thing is just going over there and talking to DJ,” Williams said. “… Maybe it was one of those drives that we felt like we should have scored or should have gotten the ball some more or anything like that. Go over and talk to him after everything settles down, whether it’s good or bad … and just be right on the same level that he is.”
