The betting odds were released for the NCAA Tournament Chapel Hill Regional featuring four solid baseball teams.

But, there’s a clear cut favorite, and it’s North Carolina. Defending champion LSU is also in this region and the Tigers have a good shot as well.

But there are longshots in Wofford and Long Island. The full odds, via Draft Kings, can be seen below.

NCAA Baseball Tournament Chape Hill Regional Odds

North Carolina -110
LSU +110
Wofford +900
Long Island +10000

The host Tar Heels are the big favorite in this regional. Heck, you can’t even get them at plus-money.

LSU is your standard second, while Wofford and Long Island are the big underdogs against these traditional Power Five teams.

North Carolina the favorite in Chapel Hill NCAA Regional

The Tar Heels are the favorite at home, naturally. Getting to the Super Regional is almost a foregone conclusion based on those odds.

Some more good news for UNC is the return of Vance Honeycutt. The star outfielder dealt with back spasms, but being back at home should be a good sign, according to head coach Scott Forbes.

“He felt great today,” Forbes said. “He felt good enough against Wake Forest on Friday night. But yesterday he felt a little bit better. And then today he told me he’s like, ‘for the most part, I’ll feel as good as I did before the spams.’ So we just keep an eye on it. You know, he has a certain mattress here, which also helps playing at home and we’ll get his treatment. But he looks great. So we’re just getting ready.”

Once Honeycutt returned to action Friday, he moved a lot better. Forbes just wanted to be careful with his star player.

“He was way better,” Forbes said. “But when you have back spasms, you can happen in the middle of the game. They were able to get it to calm down. He told me that morning that he felt like he was going to be good enough to go. And he could have played against Pitt too. I just felt like getting him one more day.”

In the Chapel Hill Regional, the Tar Heels open play Friday against Long Island University. LSU will take on Wofford and away we go.
