A brand new Big Ten football conference is coming in 2024 and Las Vegas already released the 2024 win totals for each team.

Adding in four teams from the Pac-12, this conference only got deeper and more difficult. But, a traditional power is still the favorite to win the 18-team league this fall.

Let’s dive into FanDuel’s current win totals for all Big Ten football teams in 2024.

Ohio State Buckeyes: 10.5

The Buckeyes, along with a certain other team, are the favorite in the Big Ten this coming fall. Now with new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, boy that’s weird to say, the Buckeyes could retool the offense.

Ohio State landed quarterback WIll Howard in the transfer portal, one of the bigger QB moves of the offseason. But there’s certainly pressure for Ryan Day to deliver a Big Ten title, win over Michigan and a national title. Good luck!

Oregon Ducks: 10.5

Oregon’s move to the Big Ten comes off the best year of the Dan Lanning era. What does he have in store for Year 3?

Oregon’s losses this year were to Washington, who ended up in the College Football Playoff National Championship. Bo Nix is gone, but Dillon Gabriel is in. The Ducks don’t miss in the quarterback department.

Michigan Wolverines: 9.5

Michigan is expected to be pretty good under Sherrone Moore next season. But there’s no doubt losing head coach Jim Harbaugh and other staff members.

The key for the Wolverines is to replace defensive playmakers, quarterback JJ McCarthy and more. But hey, Donovan Edwards is back in the backfield! He’s one of the best in the country.

Penn State Nittany Lions: 9.5

Could this be the year Penn State finally gets to the playoff? James Franklin’s won a Big Ten title before but that’ll only get harder in 2024.

With the 12-team playoff on tap, perhaps Penn State could get in as a wild card. However, the Nittany Lions might have to hit the over on their win total to do so.

USC Trojans: 7.5

Last year was a down year, make no mistake about it. It doesn’t get any easier in terms of the schedule for USC. So can Lincoln Riley bounce back?

Vegas doesn’t think double digit wins are in the cards right now. Heck, an 8-4 record in the Big Ten might be good. But it won’t be good enough for a conference title or a CFP berth, most likely.

Washington Huskies: 7.5

Now that rebuild begins for Washington. Well a retooling we’ll say under new head coach Jedd Fisch. Kalen DeBoer is off to Alabama and it’s a new era.

Fisch managed to keep transfer quarterback Will Rogers on the roster, so the Huskies have an immediate plug and play at the most important position. But it’ll be hard to top last year’s team in terms of talent.

Nebraska Huskers: 7.5

Vegas loves Nebraska to return to the postseason in 2024. Matt Rhule landed Dylan Raiola as a QB recruit and who knows, he could start right away next year.

So things are looking up in Lincoln. But anything less than six or seven wins at a minimum might be a major disappointment for Rhule and company.

Iowa Hawkeyes: 7.5

A new offense in 2024? Finally! The 21st century is coming! Yes, there are jokes about Iowa for days. But make no mistake, the defense and special teams remain some of the best in the country.

Still, until the offense proves everyone else otherwise, Iowa’s ceiling is that 7.5 win total. The Hawkeyes got to the Big Ten title game last year, but 2024 is a different animal.

Maryland Terrapins: 7.5

Taulia Tagovailoa is finally gone and off for NFL prep, but Mike Locksley has a nice foundation in place for Maryland.

A favorable schedule could make this a logical win total. However, anything short of another bowl berth will definitely be disappointing.

Wisconsin Badgers: 6.5

Luke Fickell came into Wisconsin last year and some even picked the Badgers to win the Big Ten West. Well, it’s time to temper expectations. At least for now.

Fickell is a program builder but this project might take a little bit longer. Still, this team should improve year to year.

It’s only February, so perhaps these totals will adjust as the months roll on. But hey, we’re getting closer and closer to spring practice already!
