Bijan Robinson explains his excitement behind Kirk Cousins signing
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is ready to have some big games with quarterback Kirk Cousins in 2024. On the Bussin With The Boys show, Robinson shared his reaction to the Falcons signing Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract.
“I was happy man,” Robinson said. “I was happy just because I feel like he is a top 10 quarterback, but I think because with his faith, just how good of a dude he is to other people to his teammates, that’s why I was excited. I knew he could come in here and gel right away with all of us because the cool thing that Terry [Fontenot] Raheem [Morris], Arthur Blank, Arthur Smith, what they all did is they got really talented dudes but they got really good dudes at the same time.
“Obviously, he’s a good dude, so I think he would come in here and immediately gel with the team that’s really what he did.”
Robinson went on to talk about his relationship with Cousins. “Our relationship is great already,” Robinson revealed. “Just having talks with him and understanding where his vision is and where he’s coming from and how he wants everybody on the offense to have the best seasons that they’ve ever had. That’s huge for a quarterback coming in.”
Falcons fans won’t see a lot of Bijan Robinson and Kirk Cousins this summer
For Falcons fans who are looking to see Robinson, Cousins, and the rest of the Falcons this summer during training camp, they will be a little disappointed. On Monday the Falcons announced they will not host fans at their training facility during training camp this year due to ongoing construction. However, the team will host two open practices at offsite locations.

“This year’s accommodations are a one-year pause only due to the construction footprint and the Falcons look forward to welcoming fans back to Flowery Branch in 2025,” the Falcons said in a statement.
The Falcons are hoping Cousins is the missing piece for the team has not been to the playoffs since 2017. In Cousins’ career, he has reached the Pro Bowl four times and has posted a 76-67-2 record. Cousins is coming off an Achilles injury which led to him missing half of the 2023 season.
Robinson was a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023 after finishing the season with 976 rushing yards, 487 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns. His breakout game was in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers when he ran for 129 yards in the victory.
