Bijan Robinson injury: Atlanta Falcons RB added to injury report
On Thursday, the Atlanta Falcons listed running back Bijan Robinson as a limited participant in practice due to a shoulder injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In the Falcons’ 22-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Robinson recorded 16 carries for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Robinson has played in all three of the Falcons’ games this season. He boasts 196 rushing yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Additionally, Robinson has already notched 11 catches for 89 yards this season.
The Falcons are running a new offensive scheme this season under offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, who they hired in late January. Zac Robinson previously served as the Los Angeles Rams’ pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Ahead of the season, Bijan Robinson pulled back the curtain on his relationship with the new OC.
“Me and [offensive coordinator] Zac [Robinson] talk every day just about these kind of these kind of routes and how we can get open on some different things or how we can use the scheme to just affect a linebacker, DB or safety,” Bijan Robinson said.
“It’s good to have communication like that obviously, because last year I was trying to learn everything and get everything down for what the offense was already. But, this year, with the new offense and having to install with that, and how I can ask questions now and how we can come to agreements — it’s been really fun to be a part of it.”
The former Texas standout had a jaw-dropping debut campaign in 2023. Bijan Robinson tallied 214 carries for 976 yards and four touchdowns. Additionally, Robinson recorded 487 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.

ND coach addresses NFL rumors
Robinson’s 1,464 all-purpose yards were the 11th-most in the NFL last season. Robinson isn’t tempering his expectations for his second year in the NFL.
“Obviously to elevate as a teammate,” Robinson said of his goals. “I want to lead by example in a way that everybody will be on the same page what I’m doing. It was really good to have the vets that we did have last year. Because I learned so much from them.
“As a team, we want to win the Super Bowl, but that’s what everybody says,” he continued. “What are you going to do as a team when nobody’s watching, and I think team dinners and stuff like that are always a big thing because you build so much chemistry.”
Now, Robinson must fight to recover as quickly as possible to achieve his lofty goals. On Sunday, the Falcons will square off against the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. ET. The game will air live on FOX.
