Bijan Robinson sets goals for Year 2
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is ready to take his game to the next level after having a strong rookie season. While appearing on Bussin’ With The Boys, Robinson shared his goals for his second season in the NFL.
“Obviously to elevate as a teammate,” Robinson said. “I want to lead by example in a way that everybody will be on the same page what I’m doing. It was really good to have the vets that we did have last year. Because I learned so much from them.”
Robinson went on to mention Calais Campbell as one of the veterans he looked up to. “He sat down with me at the end of the season and he was like ‘Yo B, you can be the best running back in the NFL for a long time,'” Robinson said. “He was saying ‘You shouldn’t go in every day saying that. Obviously, you’re very humble, but you should just do it by your work and just show everybody.'”
Robinson also revealed what he wants to see from the Falcons in 2024. “I think as a team, we want to win the Super Bowl, but that’s what everybody says,” he said. “What are you going to do as a team when nobody’s watching, and I think team dinners and stuff like that are always a big thing because you build so much chemistry.”
Bijan Robinson clarifies rushing for 2,000 yards comment
In a previous interview, Robinson revealed he wants to rush for 2,000 yards this fall. But he knows that will be challenging due to the other weapons the Falcons have on offense including fellow running back Tyler Allgeier.

“It wasn’t me saying that, it was just the goal I have to set for myself because obviously, we have Tyler Allgeier,” Robinson explained. “We have that one-two punch.”
Robinson was selected No. 8 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Falcons. He was named a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year after tallying 976 rushing yards, 487 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns.
The Falcons enter the 2024 season with high expectations and interesting storylines. In March, the team signed quarterback Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract. But when the draft came, the Falcons used the No. 8 overall pick to select quarterback Michael Penix Jr. The Falcons also have a new head coach in Raheem Morris who spent the last three seasons as the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams.
