Biletnikoff Odds afi

College football is just around the corner, with Week 0 less than three weeks away. And that means some early odds have hit for various awards.

That includes the for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the best receiver in college football. And now, FanDuel has odds for the top contenders for the hardware, from some obvious names to more surprising darkhorses.

See the top Biletnikoff odds below.

1. Luther Burden, Missouri — +300

Burden finished the 2023 season with 86 catches, 1212 yards and nine touchdowns. And coming back as the focal point of the Missouri offense, Burden expected to have another productive campaign.

The big question for Burden entering 2024 is how much he plays outside versus in the slot. He feasted inside in 2024 but might see more work on the perimeter this time around.

2. Evan Stewart, Oregon — +650

Stewart wasn’t bad in his two seasons at Texas A&M, but never quite took off as the offense and program were generally bogged down. Such is not the case at Oregon.

There, Stewart is expected to quickly become the top target in the offense. After 38 catches for 514 yards and four touchdowns last season, Stewart is expected to take a major leap in production.

3. Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona — +850

McMillan was one of the most productive receivers in the country last season. He hauled in 90 catches for 1402 yards and 10 scores.

And with a nice blend of size, length and fluidity at the catch point, McMillan is an enticing pro prospect as well as one of the top receivers in college football. He’ll continue as a centerpiece for the Wildcats offense.

4. Tez Johnson, Oregon — +1200

Johnson benefitted greatly from being a preferred target of quarterback Bo Nix. With Nix gone, it’s up to Johnson to carve out some chemistry with transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

But after serving as a potent No. 2 option last season, it’s a safe bet Johnson can do it again. And 86 catches for 1182 yards and 10 touchdowns — Johnson’s 2023 stats — would be WR1 numbers in a lot of places.

5. Xavier Restrepo, Miami — +1400

Amidst the various struggles at Miami, Restrepo has established himself as a consistent offensive force. With more solid play from the offense around him, he could be poised for a dominant season for the Hurricanes.

Restrepo caught 85 passes for 1092 yards and six scores in 2023. He’ll hope to find the endzone more in 2023 and if he does, the Biletnikoff isn’t out of the question.

6. Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State — +1400

After playing alongside one Marvin Harrison Jr. for years, it’s now Egbuka’s turn to shine as the top target for the Buckeyes. And he’s certainly shown the ability to fill a starring role for the Buckeyes’ offense.

Egbuka caught 41 passes for 515 yards and four touchdowns last year. It’s a safe bet he could come close to doubling most of those numbers in 2024.

7. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State — +1600

If Egbuka isn’t the top dog in Columbus, it’s likely because Smith, a true freshman, couldn’t be denied. Since stepping on campus, the top receiver in the 2024 class has raised eyebrows a plenty.

It’s unclear exactly how big of a role Smith will play as a freshman at this point. But all the indications from practices for Ohio State are that Smith will see the field and make an impact this year.

8. Deion Burks, Oklahoma — +1800

Transferring in to Oklahoma, Burks is expected to immediately slot into a starting role and be a major part of the Sooners passing attack. Burks also has versatility to work in the slot and from the outside.

In 2023 playing at Purdue, Burks caught 47 passes for 629 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s likely to exceed those numbers if all goes to plan for the Sooners in 2024.

9. Kevin Concepcion, NC State — +2200

Concepcion was a revelation as a freshman for the Wolfpack. Now back for his sophomore campaign and with a more stable quarterbacking situation, he’s expected to flourish.

Even with the unevenness at quarterback last year, Concepcion caught 71 passes for 839 yards and 10 scores. Building on that rookie campaign would certainly have him in Biletnikoff discussions.

10. Tre Harris, Ole Miss — +2700

Harris dazzled with his down-the-field catches and impressive body control last season at Ole Miss. And with much of the offense still intact from last season, he and the whole group are expected to take a step forward.

With 54 catches for 985 yards and eight touchdowns, there’s still room for Harris to do a bit more for the Rebels. And if he does, he could certainly be in line for an award.

Players No. 11 through 20 in the Biletnikoff odds

11. Zachariah Branch, USC — +2900
T12. Kyren Lacy, LSU — +3000
T12. Isaiah Bond, Texas — +3000
T12. Dominic Lovett, Georgia — +3000
15. Travis Hunter, Colorado — +3300
16. Germie Bernard, Alabama — +4000
17. Antwane Wells Jr., Ole Miss — +4500
18. Kobe Prentice, Alabama — +5000
T19. Nic Anderson, Oklahoma — +6000
T19. CJ Daniels, LSU — +6000

And as is often the case with these awards, it’s a pretty fair guess that one player not on this list could end up as a finalist — or winner — of the Biletnikoff Award.
