Bill Belichick, Eli Manning hilariously declare peace treaty during ManningCast
Bill Belichick and Eli Manning have squashed their “feud” to kick off the 2024 season of ManningCast. During the broadcast of the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets game on Monday, Belichick offered a peace treaty to Eli Manning after Peyton Manning introduced the legendary head coach.
“I’m not making fun of Eli. I’m not throwing any stones at him because he’ll toss some boulders back at me,” Belichick said while laughing. “Eli, can we have a peace treaty?”
Eli Manning responded, “Peace, coach. We have total peace. I got all the respect for you right there. I’m not saying anything mean. All my jokes are going to Peyton.”
With Belichick not coaching an NFL team this year, he will appear on the ManningCast every week the show airs. “I said, ‘Bill, we want you to come on. Look, we’d love to go behind the ropes on the defensive side as to kind of what the Eagles are going to have to do to stop Patrick Mahomes, right? And if you ever run out of things to say, just make fun of Eli, right? That’s always sort of a time-filler,’ and Bill doesn’t like Eli,” Peyton Manning explained on The Pat McAfee Show, per Barrett Media. “We all know that – two Super Bowls – so it’s just a match made in heaven.”

As much success Belichick has had in his career, he had his fits with Eli Manning. When Belichick was the head coach of the New England Patriots, he lost to Manning and the New York Giants in two Super Bowls. The first loss during the 2007 season hurts a little bit more since it was the only loss for the Patriots all year.
“Yeah, those guys usually don’t talk to me,” Eli Manning joked after Belichick and Tom Brady reacted to his No. 10 jersey being retired by the Giants in 2021. “They still bring up the ’07 Super Bowl. They’re still mad about that. They’re bitter. So, I’m glad I can bring them together and give them something to talk about.”
