Bo Nix blows up on Sean Payton on sideline vs. Raiders
Despite being close to an opening division win, the Denver Broncos had a heated moment on the sideline between QB Bo Nix and Sean Payton.
The rookie was none too pleased with his head coach based on this interaction during their game today against the Las Vegas Raiders. That’s due to a decision at the end of the third quarter to punt despite the Broncos’ being at a fourth & three from Vegas’ own 45-yard line.
Still, while the young quarterback wanted to get points there, it still worked out for Denver. They would force a three-and-out to get the ball back where Nix would rush for a touchdown. Then, after a second interception by Patrick Surtain II, the offense would score again when he’d pass to Josh Reynolds in the end zone. All that extended the Broncos’ lead to 34-10 over the Raiders.
Nix finished going 19-27 overall for 206 yards and two touchdowns for a season-high. He also rushed for that score to give him three so far this season. With that, it was the first time having multiple touchdowns, including his first time having two in passing in a game, while it was also his third consecutive game not throwing a pick.

In total this year, Nix is now at 102-165 (61.8%) for 866 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions.
With this win that went final at 34-17, Denver has won three straight after starting at 0-2.
Brock Bowers scores first career touchdown vs. Broncos
For the first time in his brief pro career, Brock Bowers has found the end zone.
On the Raiders’ first offensive drive of Sunday’s road contest against the Denver Broncos, Bowers went up to secure a pass from quarterback Gardner Minshew. He then took that to the house for a 57-yard score.
It was only a matter of time for Bowers, one of the league’s most impressive rookies through the first four weeks of the season. The first-round pick entered Sunday’s game with 20 receptions for 216 yards.
