Boxer Devin Haney arrested after semi-automatic gun found in car

Boxer Devin Haney was reportedly arrested in Los Angeles after police located a semi-automatic handgun in his vehicle. TMZ Sports reported on the news.
Police pulled Haney over for a routine traffic stop last week. Haney was not driving the car but the individual behind the wheel told authorities there was a weapon in the vehicle. When authorities searched the car, they located the semi-automatic gun under the driver’s seat.
Per TMZ Sports, nobody claimed to own the gun. Because the vehicle was registered in Haney’s name, he was arrested and booked for felony possession of a concealed weapon.
Haney was released on $35,000 bail. He is due in court regarding the matter in August.
Haney is one of boxing’s brightest stars, especially in the Lightweight division. He owns a perfect 30-0 record in the squared-circle with 15 knockouts.
The 25-year-old most recently fought Vasiliy Lomachenko at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20. The fight went 12 rounds with Haney winning by unanimous decision. It was arguably the most impressive victory of his career.
Devin Haney calls out Tom Holland
Hollywood actor Tom Holland caught a few virtual jabs from Haney recently over his comments on the fight against Lomachenko.

In an appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast, Holland talked about the May fight. He didn’t believe Haney was actually the winner from the bout.
“You think of Lomachenko, did you see his last fight?” Holland said, per MMANews.com. “That’s an interesting one. Well, I think the general consensus is that he won, but it was given the other way. He is my favorite boxer.”
When the comments scrolled across Haney’s timeline, he threw a massive punch Holland’s direction. He referenced Zendaya, whom Holland is currently dating.
“I always had a thing for Zendaya,” Haney wrote on Twitter.
Is that a bit of a low blow from Haney? Maybe. But he clearly didn’t care much for Holland’s comments on the fight. Maybe the next time the topic comes up, the Hollywood star will that the question slide.
