Brad Daugherty, Dale Jarrett weigh in on Noah Gragson's suspension
Amid Noah Gragson’s suspensions from LEGACY Motor Club and NASCAR, Brad Daugherty and Dale Jarrett have weighed in. The NBC broadcasters had to talk about the latest controversy in the sport. Gragson was suspended after liking an offensive social media post mocking George Floyd.
Noah Gragson will have to go through some consequences before he hits the track again. Who knows when he will race again or if it will come this season. However, Daugherty and Jarrett hope that this is something he can learn from.
The two talked it out on the broadcast as the jet driers prepped the track.
“I think not only is Noah disappointed, I think we’re all disappointed that this happened,” Daugherty said. “NASCAR has done an incredible job of being very very strong, very very stern on where they’re at and what they will accept and not accept. And this is unacceptable and so you applaud them on that. The thing I hope comes of this is that Noah has a great opportunity, which he will, to learn from this, and he will grow from this. So, I’m pulling for Noah in the long run but the consequences will be very very stern and very very difficult.”
Jarrett followed with his own words of wisdom.
“Yeah Brad, we’re each held accountable for each and every day of our life, each and every second that goes by and I think this is something that all of us including Noah can learn a valuable lesson from and move forward.”

Noah Gragson statement after suspension
Following the news of his suspension, Gragson posted his own statement. LEGACY Motor Club was stern in its own statement announcing the suspension. This will be hard to bounce back from for Gragson, but if he’s honest and genuine in his words, he might be able to learn a valuable lesson.
In his statement, Noah Gragson expressed disappointment in himself, expressed his love and appreciation for all people, and admitted that he messed up. “Plain and simple,” Gragson reflected.
LEGACY had its own statement that addressed the situation indirectly and put a line in the sand.
“We have made the decision to suspend Noah Gragson effective immediately regarding his actions that do not represent the values of our team,” LMC said in a statement. “Josh Berry will drive the No. 42 entry for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan.”
