Brad Davison to work out with Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of 2022 NBA Draft

As the 2022 NBA Draft comes around the corner, former Wisconsin guard Brad Davison has landed a workout with his hometown team.

Davison is working out with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, his agent Keith Kreiter of Edge Sports told On3. The Minnesota native just wrapped up his fifth year with the Badgers and played a key role in helping lift them to a share of the 2022 Big Ten title.

Davison averaged a career-high 14.1 points per game last season as Wisconsin finished 25-8 overall and 15-5 in Big Ten action. He started all 33 games and received second team All-Big Ten honors from the coaches after the season.

He’s one of two Badgers testing the draft waters. Teammate Johnny Davis is a potential lottery pick after bursting onto the national scene last year, leading Wisconsin with 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore. He’s foregoing his last few years of eligibility to enter the draft, meaning he won’t return to Madison.

Davison arrived at Wisconsin as a four-star recruit and the No. 87 prospect in the country from the class of 2017, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The 2022 NBA Draft is coming up June 23 at the Barclays Center in New York.

How Wisconsin will replace Brad Davison, Johnny Davis

Davis and Davison are two of the biggest departing pieces for the Badgers this coming season, but they have some playmakers returning, as well. Among the group is Chucky Hepburn, who made the Big Ten All-Freshman Team last season, and honorable mention All-Big Ten center Tyler Wahl.

Three-star Connor Essegian is the only incoming freshman Wisconsin has coming in, but the Badgers hit the transfer portal and brought in two players. Former Wofford guard Max Klesmit and former Wisconsin-Green Bay guard Kamari McGee are both coming in for the Badgers next season.
