During the wild Las Vegas NASCAR Cup Series race, Austin Dillon went off on Brad Keselowski over the radio. But why? Keselowski responded today to the onboard video and radio of Dillon and corrected the record.

From pit road to the track, there were so many moments of drivers infuriating one another. Carson Hocevar lost it on Ty Gibbs and that included spinning the 54 into its pit box.

During the Las Vegas race, Ryan Blaney was turned into the outside wall on a restart. That happened with 72 laps to go. Bubba Wallace was involved, as well as a number of other drivers.

Austin Dillon caught a little bit of damage on the front and rear of his Chevy. In the moment, it appeared that he thought Brad Keselowski slammed into the back of him

“F*cking Brad! Hit the f*cking brake pedal, you idiot! Coming to you guys. That’s what you get. You run with the dogs, you get fleas, boys.” Dillon said on his radio, via Steven Taranto of CBS Sports.

Less than half an hour ago this is what Brad Keselowski had to say. He wasn’t involved whatsoever. You can even see the No. 6 car zoom by on the outside of Dillon in the onboard cam video.

This isn’t the first time a driver has mistakenly blamed another in the heat of the moment. It definitely won’t be the last, either. Drivers say all kinds of things on the radio. That makes it fun for fans. And there are times when it does boil over from the radio and onto the track or better yet, pit road.

Brad Keselowski has to figure things out

With only two top-15 finishes this season as his highlights, Brad Keselowski has to figure things out moving forward. Jeremy Bullins is his crew chief this season, reuniting from their Penske days.

Las Vegas was, technically, an improvement. P11 is his season-best finish. This is a rough start. There is no denying that. It is about as bad as his 2022 season began. Then again, Keselowski had a P9 finish at Daytona to start the season that year, so you can argue either way.

This is only the third time Keselowski has failed to record a top-10 finish in the first five races of a season since he began racing full-time in the Cup Series. The only other seasons that have started without a top-10 in the first five races are his first two seasons at Penske, 2010 and 2011.

Will Brad Keselowski win a race this season? Right now, it doesn’t look promising. This is a long season and there are many races to get back to his winning ways.
