Brad Keselowski teases new firesuit after medical assistance, getting carted off COTA pit road

Last week at COTA things got a little too heated for Brad Keselowski. He had to be treated at the infield care center postrace. This week at Phoenix to avoid a similar incident, Keselowski has a creative idea only a NASCAR driver could have.
Good news, Brad Keselowski appears to have a good sense of humor. I mean, of course, he does. Have you seen all of his recent Consumer Cellular commercials?
This new firesuit that Keselowski is ready to debut also has something to do with the cell carrier. He debuted the convertible No. 6 Ford Dark Horse Mustang last year. Now he’s ready to take it to another level with his wardrobe.
“Thought I’d try something new to stay cool this weekend,” Keselowski posted on X/Twitter. He looks a bit too cool to me, but at 41, the 2012 Cup Series champion is fit.
I wouldn’t want to see sleeveless Brad coming towards me on pit road after a race. That’s for sure.
Following the COTA race, Brad Keselowski was treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration. Just the typical IV fluids and things. He was fine at the infield care center afterward. His cool suit failed during the hot race under the Texas sun.
Texas was the first warm race of the season. Phoenix and Las Vegas are going to give these drivers, still thawing out of the winter in North Carolina, a challenge if it gets too hot. As long as a driver has a functioning cool suit, they’re fine.

The only problem, like Brad Keselowski faced, is these suits seem to fail one or two times out of ten. You just never know.
Brad Keselowski hoping to pick up the pace
Superspeedways are good for Brad Keselowski, except when they aren’t. And we know that his road course racing isn’t the most refined. So, heading to Phoenix, and not worrying about a road course until Mexico City, is good for Keselowski.
Right now, Keselowski and the No. 6 team are in 26th in points. They managed to pick up just 43 points in three races. No top-5s and no top-10s yet on the season but one DNF. These traditional ovals are where Keselowski can now do what he does best.
Meanwhile, Chris Buescher sits at 11th in points. He has two top-10 finishes and had another solid road course race at COTA. Things are going well for Buescher. Ryan Preece on the other hand is also struggling like the bossman. He is five points behind Keselowski in 30th place.
RFK Racing has expanded this season. There will be growing pains. But a lot of thee early issues have largely been due to the draw of the first three tracks on the schedule. Going to more traditional ovals will benefit most of this organization, including Brad Keselowski.
