Bradley Bozeman gets emotional after receiving heartfelt Father's Day gift
Bradley Bozeman will celebrate Sunday as a first-time father. But his wife, Nikki, gave him an early present that brought the big Panthers lineman to tears.
Nikki shared video of the surprise on social media. She wanted everyone who loves the Carolina center and former Alabama team captain to see this beautiful moment. An unassuming Bozeman walked into the front yard. One of the family dogs escorted him out to the driveway. You see Bozeman talking to a mechanic. And then we see the truck. It’s an old, basic Ford truck, but boy, is it a special one.
We’ll let Nikki Boseman, the former Alabama basketball player, narrate the rest of Bradley’s surprise.
“GRAB THE TISSUES – Father’s Day came a couple days early at the Bozeman Household,” Nikki wrote. “I knew I wanted to make Bradley Bozeman’s first Father’s Day one to remember. Bradley has wanted this truck for as long as I have known him (going on 10 years). It is his sweet Uncle Roy’s.
“I remember just coming into the family and uncle Roy was nothing but amazing to me and baked me lots of peanut brittle so of course he was one of my favorites. As time went on I saw uncle Roy be a man that loved his family, friends and most importantly loved God!”
Nikki continued: “you couldn’t help but hear the sweet soul in his voice every time you talked to him. Uncle Roy passed late last year and when his truck was offered to me I knew it was going to be special. Fast forward to Friday and Bradley had NO idea (obviously) and it was the sweetest surprise.”
You can see the what Uncle Roy meant to Bozeman as he opened the door on the driver’s side. He paused for several seconds as his emotions overwhelmed him. Of course, Bradley and Nikki needed to start making new memories.

So they took Uncle Roy’s truck “for a lap around the block and Bradley said I wonder what he was last listening to. And when he turned on the radio that was the last part of the video. I’m always amazed at how God always shows up and shows out. I love you so much Bradley! Happy Fathers Day.”
And Bradley Bozeman finally allows the tears to flow as he rests his head on the steering wheel. As Nikki said, grab some tissues. We’re all crying. If you can, hug a special dad tomorrow, call your own Uncle Roy.
Bradley Bozeman is headed into his second year with the Panthers and sixth season in the NFL. He recently signed a three-year deal for $18 million to continue his career in Carolina.
Of course, Alabama fans know all about Bradley and Nikki Bozeman. Nikki played basketball, while Bradley started on the offensive line for the Crimson Tide. He was one of the team captains when Bama won the 2017 national title.
Then moments after the Tide clinched the game, Bradley dropped to a knee and asked Nikki to marry him right there on the field. The moment is worth another look
