In the post, Siemienowski wrote, “This past 24 hours has been a whirlwind! I got a ton of messages and I wanted to thank you all for checking in and for your kind words! I am okay, so no need to worry!

“Also… Thank you [Brandon Aubrey] for this apology note! I was told he wanted to come find me on the field after the incident, but unfortunately I kept moving around the field. He was so kind to write me a note anyways! No hard feelings here! And now I have a souvenir for my last game of my rookie season! Congrats on breaking the franchise record!”

The incident happened in the second quarter after Aubrey kicked a 34-yard field goal. On the kickoff, Aubrey kicked the ball out of bounds and hit Siemienowski in the head. She was down for a second before getting up and laughing about the ordeal.

Despite the mishap on Sunday, Aubrey had a strong 2024 season. He made 40 of his 47 field goal attempts which led to him being named to the Pro Bowl. Aubrey is the first kicker in NFL history to be named to the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons.

“It’s a big honor to be named to the Pro Bowl by peers, fans and the media,” Aubrey said, per DallasCowboys.com. “It means a lot to me. It’s a really cool honor and something I don’t take lightly. I’m gonna keep working to hopefully make that three.”

Of the 40 field goals Aubrey made this year, 14 were 50 yards or more which is an NFL record. He’s also the first kicker in NFL history to make 10 or more 50-yard field goals in consecutive seasons.

“I’ve got a great coaching staff that believes in me and is willing to send me out there with no hesitation…” Aubrey said. “They allow me to play with great confidence and just cut it free and kick the ball.”
