Another step on his NASCAR career path, Brennan Poole has announced his plans for 2024 and they are with Alpha Prime Racing. Poole will join Ryan Ellis as the second full-time driver on the team, meaning that the third car is still open for part-time racing.

Brennan Poole is going to take the seat that Jeffrey Earnhardt was in for part of the season. It is a big step for Poole as well as Alpha Prime Racing to be able to add a second full-time driver. Consistency is very important in racing and that includes drivers.

Back in 2020, Poole was thrown into the deep end of Cup Series racing during a chaotic season. Now, the NASCAR driver is slowly building his way back up. Some solid finishes this season with great funding from Macc Door Systems and Finance Pro Plus, Poole is getting an upgraded ride in the Xfinity Series.

Here’s the car reveal from the NASCAR Hall of Fame earlier today.

The No. 6 car of JD Motorsports has been racing around since 2020. It has had a number of drivers, some talented, others looking for a chance to get into a NASCAR race and show what they’ve got. Only Brennan Poole has ever put that car in the top-5.

A really good opportunity for Poole and for Alpha Prime Racing.

Alpha Prime excited to bring Brennan Poole onboard

In the Xfinity Series, finding any kind of edge is important. There are the top teams that compete for wins and championships every week and every season. However, there are others that are trying to breakthrough and make a name for themselves.

Alpha Prime Racing is good for the sport and this is a great move overall. After watching Poole compete against his cars week in and out, team owner Tommy Joe Martins figured he might as well bring him on the team.

“So I was really watching him drive a lot more closely and just always felt like he was maximizing their day,” Martins said, via Toby Christie. He did a really good job of that. So a lot of that [credit] goes to him. He stepped into a situation there at JD [Motorsports] that was at times a little unstable and I felt like he, he brought a lot of the stability to the program for them this year and obviously [I] have a lot of respect for them down there and I earned a lot more respect for Brennan.

“I’ve been watching him even when he was driving a G2G truck or qualifying Harmon’s stuff the last few years is he’s been trying to rebuild his career and, and now I feel like we’re a team that’s ready to make a step forward in competitiveness and I feel like Brennan helps us do that.”

Brennan Poole reflected some of the same sentiments back to Alpha Prime Racing. He knows that they “continue to grow the program and continue to move in the right direction.”

During his late model career, Poole proved his talent time and time again. In IMCA, UARA, and other series, Poole showed he can wheel a car. Next season will provide an opportunity for a big step up for the 32-year-old driver.
