Brennan Poole slams into the inside pit wall at Texas, team furious at Ryan Seig
This NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas has been nothing but chaos so far. Brennan Poole was the latest victim of the madness. The afternoon started with Sam Mayer and Riley Herbst both getting into the wall in the first two laps. Then, it just kept getting worse for some drivers.
Ryan Seig came up onto Brennan Poole’s left rear and got into him, seemingly to make a pass. However, it sent Poole around and into the grass. As he slid through the grass, it was a straight shot for pit road.
Thankfully, pit crews had their heads on a swivel. Poole came down, and slammed into the wall right where Jeffrey Earnhardt’s team was staged. It didn’t appear that anyone was harmed, Poole got out of his car on his own accord.
This is just a violent wreck, folks. No other way to call it.
How about this, though? Brennan Poole’s team didn’t hold back on the radio when talking about Seig and the 39 team.
“M*****f***ing ass****, he’s a dumb m*****f***er and he’s mad he can’t run up front…worked 17 hours the other day on these stupid f***ing race cars….nothing,” Poole’s radio lit up after the wreck, via The Racing Underdogs.
To his credit, Brennan Poole himself didn’t place a ton of blame on Ryan Seig. He said he could have maybe offered a little more room, is what it is kind of thing.

Brennan Poole joins others on DNF list
As I mentioned before, Sam Mayer, a playoff and championship contender, was out on Lap 1. He’s now going to have to turn to the Charlotte Roval and a win if he wants to advance. For Brennan Poole, this is a race that was going well until it wasn’t. JD Motorsports really wanted to get a solid finish here this weekend, it just wasn’t meant to be.
Texas is known for being a single groove track lately. These 1.5-mile tracks have been getting more and more interesting in both Cup and Xfinity. However, this track blows tires out and causes issues. When the weather is as hot as it is this weekend, it makes it even more slick and dangerous.
Of course, that had nothing to do with Brennan Poole. He was clipped in the left rear and sent spinning into the grass, plain and simple.
This is going to be a long afternoon for many drivers. Unfortunately for Poole and his team, the afternoon didn’t last long enough. A top-20 finish at Texas would have been a really solid day for that No. 6 team. Onto the Charlotte Roval in two weeks, instead.
