Brian Robinson injury update: Commanders announce RB's status vs. Ravens
The Washington Commanders will be without Brian Robinson Jr. for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was downgraded to out as he deals with a knee injury, the team announced.
Robinson ended the week listed questionable on the final injury report due to the injury. He had been dealing with the issue for the last couple weeks, but will not be able to go against Baltimore on Saturday.
Robinson leads the Commanders with 325 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground this year. He’s in his third year with Washington out of Alabama and has started every game dating back to last season, serving as a key weapon in the backfield in Washington’s high-powered offense.
Austin Ekeler is likely to get more touches in Brian Robinson’s absence while also continuing to play a role in the passing game. He enters Sunday’s game with 150 rushing yards and 151 receiving yards.
Sunday’s game between the Commanders and Ravens put two dynamic playmakers against each other. Jayden Daniels is off to a strong start to his rookie season out of LSU and is drawing comparisons to Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson, who’s coming off his second MVP award in 2023.

However, Daniels doesn’t seem to be a fan of those comparisons. He wants to be his own player and chart his own course in the league.
“I don’t like when people try to compare me to Lamar,” Daniels said, via ESPN’s John Keim. “We’re two different players. “I want to be known as Jayden Daniels and not the next such-and-such.”
Daniels has thrown for 1,135 yards and four touchdowns through his first five games while adding 300 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He’s proving to be a true dual-threat quarterback, but wants to do it his own way and avoid comparisons to others such as Jackson.
“For me it’s just, go out there and try to be unique and try to be different from everybody,” Daniels said. “Appreciate what they do because you can always learn from other quarterbacks in the league. I’m not closed-minded.”
