Brittany, Patrick Mahomes welcome third child, Golden Raye
Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed their third child over the weekend. On Instagram, Brittany and Patrick shared a black-and-white photo of her and Patrick holding their baby daughter’s feet above a wooden sign that reads her name.
“Golden Raye Mahomes 1/12/25,” the couple wrote in the caption. Brittany and Patrick’s new baby will join daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2. Back in July, the couple announced they were having their third baby together.
Brittany and Patrick have been together since they were teenagers. They both attended Whitehouse High School in Texas.
“I think at that point we had been dating for a couple months,” Patrick said in an interview with TODAY in 2020. “Just a normal teenage kid showing up at the family dinner type stuff and being nervous and everything.
“We would joke around it was almost like the movie Four Christmases. We had to go to each one of our family members’ Christmas parties, and it contains a whole day of going from house to house trying to make sure that we see everybody.”

More on Brittany and Patrick Mahomes’ family
Last year, Patrick Mahomes talked about how he always wanted to be a father. “I always wanted to have kids young,” he said, per the Associated Press. “I got to grow up in the locker room. I mean, I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life. And so I wanted to have kids young, and we’re having our third kid now to join the family.”
The birth of Golden Raye comes as Patrick prepares for the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has led the team to a 15-2 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Kansas City was off this week and will face the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Saturday.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking to make history this year as they could be the first team in league history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. “I think eight other teams have done it. We had heard it all week,” Mahomes said after the Chiefs won last year’s Super Bowl, per NFL.com.
“We had talked to the guys about it and we felt like we had the best opportunity that we had ever had to go out there and do that and fell short the year before. So, all you can do is come back next year with a fresh mindset knowing it’s going to be even harder.”
