Brock Purdy, John Harbaugh meet in hilarious fashion after 49ers-Ravens game
San Francisco 49ers (11-4) quarterback Brock Purdy and Baltimore Ravens (12-3) head coach John Harbaugh met for the first time following Baltimore’s 33-19 Week 16 victory Sunday.
Turns out, people have been notifying Harbaugh that he looks similar to the 23-year-old signal-caller, and he made sure to pass along that information during their chat after the game.
Purdy’s meet-up with the Super Bowl champion head coach was likely the highlight of the night for Purdy, who struggled against Baltimore’s defense. Purdy, who entered the game as the likely NFL MVP Award favorite, completed 18-of-32 passes for 255 yards and four interceptions. He had thrown just seven interceptions in the previous 14 games this season.
“It’s the NFL,” Purdy said after the game. “We have some opportunities coming up, and we still got two games left in the regular season before we get into playoffs. For me, [I’m] trying to look at the big picture of what we’re trying to do, what our team goals are. But at the same time, I have to look myself in the mirror and ask myself why or how that happened and why I made those decisions?

“Our team came ready to play, and for me to make some decisions like that … it’s not fair to these guys. I have to realize that and understand that, and I have to get better for my team.”
Brock Purdy exits MNF with shoulder injury
Purdy also suffered his second shoulder stinger in as many weeks. Whereas he returned three plays later last week, he did not return to finish the fourth quarter of Monday’s contest. Sam Darnold finished the game for San Francisco.
“Just watching how he was that week [against the Arizona Cardinals], hearing how he was today and talking to him last night after the game, I think he’s going to be fine,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday. “I don’t think it’s going to bother him. I’m sure it’s a pain for him, but overall, I think he’s going to be fine for us this week.”
