Think Bryce Young is playing with some confidence? The Carolina Panthers (4-12) quarterback pulled out Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry‘s iconic no-look celebration on Sunday.

Young found tight end Tommy Tremble for a 12-yard score during the third quarter of the Week 18 road contest against the Atlanta Falcons (8-8) and he knew it was a dot when the ball left his hand. He immediately turned around, put his hands up in the air and watched Tremble haul in the pass on the jumbotron at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Curry, the four-time NBA champion, is a huge Panthers fan having grown up in Charlotte. So, you know somewhere he’s watching and pretty stoked to see Young paying homage to him.

For Young to even go that route shows the confidence he’s playing with, which started after head coach Dave Canales placed him back in the starting lineup in Week 8. Since then, Young has a 12:6 touchdown to interception ratio. That’s more what the Panthers expected when they selected him No. 1 overall in last year’s NFL Draft and should give the organization belief he can be the guy moving forward.

“I think this is just big for us,” Young said after the Week 16 win over the Arizona Cardinals (7-9). “We talked about this last part of the season being a great opportunity just for us to finish to set the tone for the future. Kind of just lay the foundation of where we want to go. It’s a week-to-week league; we can only do one week at a time but just having that point of emphasis and then coming out and executing and having a great team win today, in the cold in December.

“There’s no quit in this team at all, so I’m super grateful to be a part of it. Just our drive to finish, and that’s something that that coach instills in us on a daily basis. I think it’s showing.”
