Bubba Wallace reacts to Daniel Suárez, Trackhouse parting ways after 2025 season

Daniel Suárez‘s tenure with Trackhouse Racing is coming to an end. The 33-year-old driver announced Tuesday that he and Trackhouse “mutually agreed to part ways” after the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Bubba Wallace is good friends with Suárez. He reacted to the news on social media.
“Love you amigo,” Wallace wrote on X. “Lots of races left this year. Let’s have some fun!”
Suárez’s future had been up in the air for some time, as he entered the 2025 campaign in a contract year. Further complicating matters was Trackhouse employing four drivers — Suárez, Ross Chastain, Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch — and having three rides in Cup. The latter is on a developmental deal and currently excelling in the Xfinity Series.
Trackhouse owner Justin Marks was always going to have to make a tough decision. He opted to move on from Suárez and the expectation is that the 18-year-old Zilisch will replace him.

Trackhouse Racing moving on from Daniel Suárez
Suárez became Trackhouse’s flagship driver when the team joined the Cup ranks in 2021. One year later, Chastain came aboard to drive the No. 1 car. Suárez has made the playoffs twice since joining Trackhouse. Chastain and van Gisbergen have both won a race this season and are playoff-bound. Suárez, meanwhile, sits 29th in the points standings. The Mexico native has tallied both of his Cup victories with Trackhouse.
“Trackhouse and I have mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 season. I’ve had some of the best years of my Cup Series career at Trackhouse. We had great successes as a team and I gained some incredible friends,” Suárez wrote in a statement. “We took a team nobody had even heard of in 2021 and in just a couple of years we were winning races and running upfront on a weekly basis.
“Just like the seasons in a year, sometimes things change and we have agreed to each go in our own direction. I wish Trackhouse nothing but the best, this 99 team will always be special to me. And like I always say, the best is ahead.”
