With NASCAR taking a week off, Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda went out to Hawaii for some relaxation and great views. When Wallace isn’t driving every weekend, he finds time to practice his photography skills. His vacation has provided some truly amazing opportunities for his hobby.

While Bubba Wallace likes to avoid social media when he’s on vacation, he will share his photography work. The 23XI Racing driver has had a good season up to this point. With some rest and relaxation in the off week in paradise, he will try to finish it off just as strongly.

“Promised I’d get off social for this off week. And I have, I don’t count my passion for photography and this page as social,” Wallace said on his photography Instagram account. “Love being able to share what I captured with you guys.

“Amanda and I have been dying to get back to Hawaii. Decided to hit up Kauai first and then head to Maui later this week. One of our favorite places to visit, the views never disappoint.”

Bubba Wallace also posted a few photos to his IG Story. If you want to keep up with the Wallcaes, then that is the best place to do it. A week in Hawaii sounds pretty good to me right about now. Until I get my own flight out, these photos are fine, I guess.

Bubba Wallace in playoff position

The big difference between this season and other seasons is that Bubba Wallace is in playoff position. Nothing is guaranteed, of course. There are still 10 races left in the regular season. However, if he holds on to his 15th-place position in the point standings, he should make the playoffs.

Wallace went on a stretch of races where it seemed like he couldn’t NOT finish in the top-five. He was great from Kansas to Charlotte with perhaps his best stretch of races in his Cup Series career.

Issues at St. Louis with his brake rotor took a top-10 finish from the 23XI driver. Then he had an okay day at Sonoma with a P17 finish after struggling through the field. There is a lot of action to sort through between now and Darlington in the postseason. Still, he’s in a place he hasn’t really been before and that’s good for him and his team.

Bubba Wallace will return from the break and try to get that magic back that he found on those intermediate tracks. Nashville and Atlanta are coming up on either side of the Chicago Street Race. Will he start churning out those great finishes like he did earlier in the season?
