Once NASCAR checked the NASCAR Playoff driver cars after the Las Vegas race, Ryan Blaney got a DQ. Bubba Wallace thinks that’s funny. The two drivers are really good buddies off the track. So, it makes sense that Wallace would give his friend a tough time after such a result.

Bubba Wallace is no longer in the NASCAR Playoffs, however, Ryan Blaney is. Then again, he might not be for too much longer. Originally, Blaney finished P6 and was just about 25 points below the cutline. Well, he’s now 56 points under and has to win to get to Phoenix. He had a shock that didn’t meet specified requirements after the race.

Today, with Blaney out of the results, relegated to last, Wallace too an opportunity to do a little trolling. And hey, Wallace got to move up a spot. He went from P13 to P12.

“P Illegal Shock yesterday,” Wallace tweeted.

Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney are good friends. I’m sure that they have already joked about the decision among themselves. Still, it’s always fun when drivers are open and show off their personality a little bit.

I’d say that Wallace and Blaney are two of NASCAR’s best personalities. Together, they are great. While they are rivals on the track, the two drivers have no problem laughing and having a good time off of it.

Bubba Wallace will have season-best finish

No matter what happens for the rest of the season, just three more weeks, Bubba Wallace will finish the highest he ever has in the Cup Series standings. Wallace, prior to this season, had failed to break into the top-20 in points. Now, he’s guaranteed to be top-12.

He wasn’t able to make it to the Round of 8, but Wallace has overachieved. He made the playoffs when people didn’t think he could. Then he advanced to the Round of 12, definitely not where anyone expected him to be.

No 16 seed has ever made it to the Round of 8 since the current playoff platform started. Wallace was able to at least put himself in a position to advance.

Right now, Bubba Wallace is going to try and finish as high as possible in the final points standings. He can be as high as 9th or as low as 12th. Will Wallace be a top-10 driver by the end of the season?
