Dane Jackson taken off the field in ambulance following scary collision

One of the beautiful parts of the NFL is taking place, with two Monday Night Football games being broadcasted. One of the scary parts of the sport took place as well, with Buffalo Bills defensive back Dane Jackson going down with a scary injury.

Dropping back into coverage, Jackson was going up against Tennessee Titansโ€™ rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks. As the ball arrives and Burks makes the catch, Jackson is there to make the catch. However, his teammate was on time as well, wanting to hit Burks.

Instead, he makes contact with Jackson, whose neck gets stretched back. He stayed on the ground as the medical team rushed onto the field. Eventually, an ambulance was called and Jackson was taken off the field.

Before the second half got underway, ESPNโ€™s Laura Rutledge reported that the ambulance had yet to leave the stadium in Buffalo. More updates would be provided as they became available.

For some positive news, Jackson was seen moving his legs when leaving the field.

More on Dane Jackson

Jackson is from the state of Pennsylvania and stayed home to play his college football. The defensive back was a Pitt Panther, spending five years in the program. By the time he was a redshirt senior, Jackson was named All-ACC second-team.

Buffalo selected Jackson in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft and he made the roster as a rookie. Playing in five games during his first year in the league, his role grew as the Billsโ€™ defense improved during the 2021 season. Throughout his career, Jackson has recorded 56 total tackles, a tackle for a loss, 11 passes defended, and one interception.
