Pay close enough attention to the Brickyard 400 this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and you might just catch a budding legend in sports. Not a driver, but Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

Josh Berry’s No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford will be rocking a Caitlin Clark-themed paint scheme.

Clark’s name will be spelled out on the car, as will the slogan “RAINING 3s.” Panini America, a sports trading card and memorabilia store, is the sponsor for the car this weekend.

“Never did I ever think I would appear on a racecar,” Clark told WISH News 8. “Honestly I grew up watching NASCAR. My mom was kind of involved in it, so I was kind of a big fan growing up. So now to be on a car? Super cool.”

Berry and his team unveiled the Caitlin Clark-themed paint scheme earlier this week, giving fans a first glimpse at it before it hits the track.

It’s pretty sleek.

“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, is this real?'” Clark said of her reaction to the car. “And then second of all I want to drive the car, so hopefully at some time maybe I can go take a spin. But super cool, and hopefully it brings good vibes and we can get this dub.”

Caitlin Clark has been on a remarkable pace in the WNBA in her rookie season, setting all kinds of records. If Berry is anywhere near as successful in the car this weekend he’ll have a go of it at the Brickyard 400.

The driver is honored to be part of such a cool collaboration.

“It really is a great opportunity, to have her on the hood of our race car,” Berry said, via FOX’s Bob Pockrass. “The amount of reach and popularity she’s gained over the last couple of years has been really, really amazing to watch.

“How it’s transcended women’s basketball, right? Obviously, being a girl dad, I guess, you don’t necessarily put the two together right now, but as she grows older, I’m sure it’ll be a cool thing to look back on, as she continues her career.”
