Caitlin Clark opened up about being good friends with pop superstar Taylor Swift. While being interviewed by Time for its Athlete of the Year feature, Clark discussed her friendship with Swift as she became more popular.

Clark told Time she attended back-to-back Eras Tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in November. The 22-year-old met Swift’s mother and boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift gave Clark four bags of Ears Tour merchandise that also included a note that said “Trav and I” were excited to get to see her at an Indiana Fever game now that the tour was ending. Swift also also invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game with her.

While at Taylor Swift’s concert, Caitlin Clark said that fans noticed her sitting in a suite, which led to them taking pictures of her or tossing her friendship bracelets. “People are just going crazy that I’m there,” she says. “I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor. And it was just completely the opposite.”
