Caleb Williams learned importance of competitive stamina from Tom Brady
Rookie Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams knows that it’s going to be difficult to live up to expectations. Because of that, he’s been looking for advice in every place that he’s able to find it now that he’s in the NFL.
One of those people who Williams has looked for advice from is the legendary Tom Brady. Now widely considered the greatest to ever play quarterback, Brady was known for his competitive fire and Williams says that he’s learned a lot about the importance of competitive stamina from Brady.
“He kept harping on competitive stamina,” Caleb Williams told ESPN. “He kept harping on being around your guys, understanding them, that relationship. And then, I mean, it’s hard. The job is hard. That’s what he said.”
Nobody had the kind of success that Brady did in the NFL. Over the course of his 23-year career, he led his teams to 10 Super Bowl appearances and seven wins. It’s a career of winning that is unmatched. It’s also one that Williams would like to replicate as much as possible.
“It’s tough to go out there and win games,” Williams said. “Doing the best you can in the film room, with your diet and all the other things that you can control, go out there and handle those things, it gives your chances of winning games and doing what you want to do, it gives you the best chances.”

Caleb Williams claps back at critics of leadership style ahead of rookie year
There has been criticism of Caleb Williams for his leadership style going back to before he was drafted. It’s criticism that Williams is aware of and he recently clapped back at those critics.
“I’m gonna choose my words wisely. I could give two – you probably know the next word. I don’t really care about the outside people. It only matters about the people in the building. The people around every day, my family, my support staff, my support system of my family and all of them. Other than them and the people in the building, have fun, get all your clicks that you need and have at it,” Williams said.
“I see it. People always act like they don’t see it, but I see it and it doesn’t phase me because I know who I am and I know who we are. I know what we’re working towards. We’re ready to go.”
