Cam Ward shades Green Bay ahead of NFL Draft: ‘Ain’t sh*t to do here, and it’s cold as sh*t too’

The NFL Draft was once famously held in Radio City Music Hall. Now, it moves from one location to the next each season, and in 2025 it’s being held in Green Bay. With that, the top players in the country are descending on Wisconsin, including Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.
However, Ward doesn’t seem to be having a great time just yet. Ahead of the draft, Ward was caught on video throwing shade at the city of Green Bay for being cold and boring.
“It ain’t sh*t to do here,” Cam Ward said. “And it’s cold as sh*t too. So, I’m out.”
“Y’all see where we’re at, man,” Ward said in the clip. “We’re in Green Bay. Ain’t nothing to do here but get drafted. So, we gonna get drafted. Most of y’all know where we finna be at. Probably Nashville. Probably New York. So, we’re gonna see, but, man, if I had some advice for y’all, bring your jackets to Green Bay. It ain’t sh*t to do here, and it’s cold as sh*t too. So, I’m out.”
The weather in Green Bay is set to be around the low 50s at the start of the NFL Draft. As the night goes on, it is set to drop into the 40s. So, while cold, it’s not going to be as bad as things can get in the winter on the frozen tundra. Still, given that Cam Ward is a Texas native who most recently played for Miami, it’s not a surprise that he’d be feeling the chill in the air.

Still, with recent reports that the Tennessee Titans won’t trade out and will draft Cam Ward, it looks like he knows his next home. Nothing is set in stone just yet. However, if that is the case, then he knows he’ll be in a warmer climate, playing in the AFC South. He’ll also find himself in a much larger city than Green Bay if that matters to him.
Former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum reminded of Josh Allen when watching Cam Ward
This time of year, draft-eligible players tend to get compared to NFL stars. It’s a way of comparing skillsets in a relatively understandable way. With that, former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum boldly compared Cam Ward to Josh Allen.
“There’s a ruggedness to the way Cam Ward plays that really reminds me of Josh Allen,” Tannenbaum said. “The arm strength and coming out, they both had similar yards per attempt and rushing yards. The athleticism of Cam Ward is very underrated as was Josh Allen’s. In Tennessee, they may be getting a star.”
