Cameron Brink turned heads on the WNBA Draft orange carpet. The former Stanford Cardinal basketball star was seen wearing a black dress with white trim before the WNBA Draft began.

Brink is projected to be a high draft pick after having a strong college basketball career. In ESPN’s latest mock draft, Brink is projected to be selected by the Los Angeles Sparks at No. 2 overall.

“If it is Brink, this pick would make her a foundational player for a Sparks team establishing a new identity now without Nneka Ogwumike,” Michael Voepel wrote on ESPN. “But the same could be said for Cardoso, who played well winning the NCAA championship.”

Cameron Brink did it all at Stanford

Brink seemed to accomplish everything during her time at Stanford. Along with leading the team to a national title in 2021, the 22-year-old was named Pac-12 Payer of the Year twice (2022, 2024), Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year three times (2022-2024) and was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.

Back in March, Brink declared for the WNBA Draft. “My four years at Stanford have been nothing short of life changing,” Brink wrote. “I cannot begin to express my love for everyone I’ve met and everything I’ve learned in Palo Alto. To Tara and all my coaches – your patience, belief, and support have shaped me into the player and person I am today.

“Thank you to all my trainers, support staff, amazing teammates, friends, and fans that have made this all worth it along the way. I am beyond lucky to be surrounded by so many special people. To my family and especially my parents – who would’ve thought that basketball would bring me the wonders it has. I attribute every ounce of success to your guidance and unconditional love. You are who I do it for every single day.

“I am excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2024 WNBA Draft. Although I am excited for that next chapter, we still have unfinished business and so much to accomplish in my final season at Stanford. Lastly, to all the young girls out there, thank you for all your support. I believe in all of you like you’ve believed in me. Most importantly, you are loved. You got this!”
