Cameron Heyward is a force on the football field, wreaking havoc on NFL offenses from his defensive line spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers for a decade now. But it wasn’t a right guard or double team that slowed him down and made him pause during a recent interview on Good Morning Football.

No, instead the hosts had asked Heyward, who apparently got into the show “Entourage” in the offseason, which Steelers player would be Johnny “Drama” Chase, a central character in the show played by Kevin Dillon.

“Oh man,” Heyward said, taking a moment to ponder. “Oh man. Johnny Drama on our team. Um… I would have to say Johnny Drama, you look at the character, like, he’s the guy that nobody wants to see in a movie, but, you know, is down for anything, has everybody’s back.

“And I’m just going to say myself, as Johnny Drama. At the end of Entourage, he ends up winning an Oscar. But, you know, Johnny Drama is a guy who protects his family. And you see it from Episode 1 to the end, nobody wants him there but he’s there.”

Then host Kyle Brandt said he got strong Ari Gold vibes — played by Jeremy Piven in the show — from running back Najee Harris.

“Big personality, always talking. Am I right?” Brandt asked.

“Yes,” Heyward said with a chuckle. “Najee likes to hear himself talk. But in a good way.”

Host Jamie Erdahl added that she could imagine Harris throwing a phone, too, as Gold does in the show.

“Yes, Najee has taken over the phone or intercom plenty of times,” Heyward said.

Heyward also poked fun at his younger brother, Connor, on Good Morning Football

Connor Heyward, a rookie tight end out of Michigan State and younger brother to Cameron — an Ohio State alum — has been with the Steelers during training camp trying to lock down a roster spot as a sixth-round pick.

During the interview, Heyward did great to bring some sibling rivalry into play. He says that he’s glad his brother will get to experience a winning culture now that he’s away from East Lansing.

“This is new territory for him,” said Heyward. “At Michigan State, I don’t think they beat Ohio State a lot so it kind of weighed on him. Now (he) gets to be a part of Ohio State tradition and play with guys that know how to win.”

The Heyward brothers are the third pair of brothers on the Pittsburgh roster. With both out of the Big Ten and college rivalries aside, Connor will do his best to stick in the pros alongside his All-Pro big bro.
